Myrtle P. Olson's Obituary
Myrtle P. Olson was born February 15, 1917 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Alfred and Ruby Cole Erickson. She died December 23, 2005 in Scappoose, Oregon. She was 88 years old.
At the age of 5 Myrtle moved to Oregon with her family. She only attended school through the 10th grade, but was still a very smart and respected lady. Myrtle married Clarence Olson February 18, 1939 in Vancouver, WA.
Myrtle was described as an awesome mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed cooking, rock hunting and spending time with grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; and daughter, Carole Diane. She is survived by her daughter, Judy and son-in-law, Monty Cameron; 3 grandsons: Richard Yeager of North Bend, Oregon; Rodney of Kennewick, Washington; and Donald of Columbia City, Oregon; a granddaughter Jessica Martinez of St. Helens; and 8 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, December 29th at 10:00 AM at Columbia Funeral Home. Burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Warren.
