Nancy B. Schmor's Obituary
Nancy Allen Brockway Schmor died August 10, 2006 at the age of 75. Born June 12, 1931 in Batavia, New York, Nancy moved with her family to Oregon in 1936, and grew up in Fall City, Eugene, and graduated from Coburg High School. Attending her second year of college in Ashland, later moving to Bonanza, Oregon, lived and taught in Lyons, St. Helens, Forest Grove, and have resided in Columbia City for the past twentysix years. Nancy was a kindergarten teacher for more than twenty years, for St. Helens' Council of Churches, Sunset Church and Yankton Baptist Church. She also taught reading in the Forest Grove school district. Very active in her church, Christ Episcopal, Nancy served three times as Senior Warden, helped organize their annual Arts and Crafts fair and sang in the choir. She was a member of PEO, Chapter BO and the DAR an avid reader, she belonged to a local St Helens book club. She also regularly played Bridge and Pinochle with local clubs almost every week for many years. Nancy is survived by her husband Bob, her sons Douglas, David and John and her daughter Jill Gordon and 5 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Division Road, Friday, August 18, 10:00 AM. Remembrances to PEO Chapter BOscholarship fund, or to the Christ Episcopal Church building fund.
