Nanette Ramsey Mallory's Obituary
Nanette passed away May 26th at a Portland hospital, she was 90 years of age.
Nanette was born Nanette Ramsey Simpson on February 16, 1922 in Stratford, Washington to William G. Simpson and Annie B. Sharp Simpson, the second of six children. In 1927 the family moved to Deer Island, Oregon and then to Yankton, Oregon in 1935. Nanette married Clyde Armond Mallory on July 1, 1939 in St. Helens, Oregon. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Nanette was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Warren, Oregon. She had an association with the Lewis and Clark Bible Church in Astoria, Oregon, also.
Nanette's family, church, and friends were so very dear to her. She enjoyed cooking/baking, gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.
Nanette was always active in her church serving as a Sunday School teacher, church clerk, youth adviser, Vacation Bible School teacher, camp counselor, deaconess and greeter.
Nanette was a homemaker, worked at Long's Variety Store, owned and operated, with her husband, the Mallory's County Store, during the strawberry season was the "berry patch banker" for Luttrell Farms and retired from the St. Helens School district as a "lunch lady" cooking at different schools.
She is survived by; her daughter Nancy Boozer of Astoria, Oregon, son Stan Mallory and his wife Connie of St. Helens, Oregon, four grandchildren; Jim Boozer, Andrea Nollette, Matt Boozer, and Scott Mallory; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, brother; Richard Simpson and his wife Mary Jo of St. Helens, Oregon; and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by grandson Paul Mallory and siblings; William Simpson, Mary Baker, Robert Simpson and Leonard Simpson.
Graveside Committal will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, June 2nd at Yankton Hillcrest cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at 2PM at Grace Baptist Church in Warren, Oregon.
