Neil R. Herglund's Obituary
Neil R. Herglund was born on June 14, 1919 in Aberdeen, Washington to John & Itola Needham Herglund.
He died at a St. Helens care center on October 8, 2003 at the age of 84.
He was educated in Astoria, OR., Married to Bessie in 1945, she preceded him in death in '95.
He married Beatrice in '96 and she also preceded him in death in 2001.
He was a trucker all of his life, retiring in 1975.
He lived in Astoria for all of his life until moving to Scappoose, Oregon in 2000.
His enjoyments included trucks and penguins.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Cricket Sweetin of Scappoose; Jackie Egesdahl of Brookings, OR.;Itola Arnold of Astoria, OR.; Sons: Richard Herglund of Redmond, OR. and Neil O'Brien of Chinook, WA.; and numerous grandchildren.
Private family service will be held.
