Norma Sue Abbott's Obituary
Norma Sue Abbott, known by her family and friends as Sue, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 at the age of 77. Sue was born on October 5th, 1941 to Helen and Ervin Ledford in Tranquillity, CA. She moved to Rainier, Oregon and after graduating from Rainier High School she met and married the late John Carlton Abbott in 1960. She enjoyed a fulfilling life visiting family and friends as well as caring for her 3 daughters. Sue is survived by her children; Linda Klopp of Derby, NY, Laurie Baker of Gresham, OR, and Carolyn Whittaker of Rainier, OR and her sisters June Plank of Gresham, OR and Joyce Cox of Sandy, OR. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Andrea Cozart, Myranda Cozart, Jared Klopp, Jennifer Klopp, and Joshua Klopp and 6 great grandchildren; Derek Arellano-Cozart, Venus Trejo-Cozart, Tyler Arellano-Cozart, Emily Lovell, Ashton Lovell and Carly Lovell.
Sue enjoyed painting, music, sewing, thrift store shopping and taking apart things to see how they worked Her family enjoyed Sue’s wonderful sense of humor, her love of animals and her ability to appreciate the simple things in life. She will be missed.
Family, friends and others whose lives she touched are invited to the Yankton Community Church, at 1:00 pm on November, 16, 2018 where her service will be held.
