Obituary of Norma Ruth Hendrickson
Norma Hendrickson passed away on June 25, 2012 in St. Helens at the age of 80.
Norma was born April 30, 1932 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio one of three children born to Homer and Doris E. Foght Evans. Raised back East she attended Berea College in Kentucky before receiving her teaching credentials at Montana State Normal College. For most of her working life she taught. She taught in an orphanage in New York City, then taught at the Goble Grade School and retired from Rainier Elementary in 1971. Norma married Earl Norman Hendrickson on June 7, 1969 in Longview, WA. They were both teachers and traveled though out the country living in Peace River, Alberta from 1975 until 1982 and in Florida for ten years from 1982 until 1992.
Norma is survived by her husband of forty three years, Earl of Rainier, niece Doris Steele and her husband Mike of South Carolina; nephew Ronald Hendrickson of Rainier, niece Carole and her husband Tom Kelley of Rainier and their sons, grand nephews, Jerimy Kelley of Scappoose and Gregory Kelley, of Lakeview, OR; grand niece Jennifer Morris of Forks, WA and her children, great grandniece and nephews Jennasse and Tanner Will and Brennen Morris.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Turning Point Community Services in Clatskanie, OR
Private family gather will be held at a later date.
