Norman Cooper's Obituary
Service pending. Norman Theodore Cooper passed away June 5th in St. Helens. He was 76 years of age.
Norman was born March 31, 1935 at St. Helens, Oregon to Orren "Babe" and Nina Pierce Cooper; he was one of eleven children. Raised in St. Helens, he graduated in 1954. Norman served in the United States Army in Korea being honorable discharged in 1960. He worked for Boise Cascade for over forty years retiring in 1994 as a Maintenance Supervisor.
He married Francis Garlene Jones at the 1st United Methodist in St. Helens on March 9, 1962. He was an avid duck hunter and golfer. Norman was the director for over 20 years for the Crooked River Ranch Golf Tournament, now named after him; The Norman Cooper Classic.
He is survived by his wife Garlene, children; Michael Cooper and Marcy Ousley, grandchildren; Alex and Samantha Riddle, siblings Mary Dunn, Lois Moore, Jack Cooper all of St. Helens and Joyce Nolte of Eugene, Oregon.
