Orville E. Haley's Obituary
Orville E. Haley was born on June 16, 1928 in Kelso, WA. to William & Versie Pruett Haley.
He died in a Portland hospital on January 26, 2006 at the age of 77.
He attended school in Kelso, WA. and then went into the Navy.
He married Silvia in Las Vegas, NV. on December 24, 1953.
They lived in Sacramento, CA. area for most of thier life, moving to St. Helens in 1990.
He was a truck driver for California Liquid Gas Co., Log truck driver and retired in 1990 from Safeway as a truck driver after 28 years.
He was a member of St. Frederic Catholic Church and the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing, camping, car races, the out-of-doors and driving.
Survivors include: Wife: Silvia Haley of St. Helens; Daughters: Gloria Saylors of St. Helens & Linda Wright of Amarillo, TX.; Sister: Zadie Skogan of Sandy, OR.; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 9-5 Tues. 1/31/06 & Recitation of the Rosary 7:00 PM both at Columbia Funeral.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday 2/1/06 at 10:30 AM at St. Frederic Catholic Church.
Committal service & Crypt entombment; Columbia Memorial Gardens Mausoleum-St. Helens, OR.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association or to St. Frederic Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
