Patricia Mary Cvetich's Obituary
Patricia Mary “Pat” Cvetich, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thurs., Oct. 18, 2018, at Spring Meadows Assisted Living in St. Helens, Oregon. She was born on Jan. 29, 1925, in Estacada, Oregon to Jacob Joseph and Antoinette V. Welty Penner. She was a 1942 graduate of Mt. Angel Academy. Pat went on to graduate from St. Joseph’s Nursing Academy in 1946.
In 1948 she married the love of her life, Charles Cvetich, in Mt. Angel, Oregon. Together they had one daughter, Patricia “Patty.” They were married for 61 loving years until Chuck passed away in 2009. Pat worked in Columbia County as a Registered Nurse for 30 years. She resided in St. Helens, Oregon for 70 years. Pat was very family oriented, as she was caring, loving, and nurturing. She liked camping and was an excellent homemaker. Pat enjoyed world travels with husband Chuck. She was devoted to water aerobics and was part of several bridge clubs for many years.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Chuck and three brothers Jake, Doug, and Dean Penner.
Pat is survived by daughter Patty Rismoen (Dan); granddaughter Polly Crocker (Cory); great-grandson Callen; sister Pam Sprauer of Mt. Angel; brothers Jim Penner of Bend and Mike Penner of Portland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Fri., Oct. 26, 2018. The ceremony starts at 1 p.m. at Columbia Funeral Home, 681 Columbia Blvd., St. Helens, Oregon. A catered luncheon is to follow immediately after at St. Frederic’s Buccini Hall in St. Helens. Any donations in Pat’s honor may be made to Serenity Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
