As I sat listening to everyone's stories and remembrances at Pat's Celebration of Life, there were such incredible qualities that tied every story together. Pat's service and caring shown to others, most especially to her own children. Complete love and devotion. Her sense of humor, adventure and fun that made her the kind of mom that all the others kids wanted to hang out with as well! While I didn't know Pat very well personally, I have always known her through Darci.
I can tell you that Darci is all of these same things to the people in her life, the most loyal and giving friend someone could ever have. She loves all kids and is always the first one to hug and comfort and be silly with any little one. She serves her community through various charities, and was right there by her mom's side through her years of battling Parkinson's. She had a great teacher, and I think it's just so special that all those qualities that Pat so exemplified are going to live on in her beloved daughter...and in all her children and grandchildren. Her legacy lives on, and she will surely always be cherished and treasured in the hearts of all that loved her.
