Patricia "Patti" Ann Huhn's Obituary
Patricia Huhn of Scappoose, Oregon, passed away November 24, 2023, at the age of 79. She was born December 14, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert and Mary (Straniero) Palazzo. Patti lived in Cleveland, Overland Park, Kansas, and Dallas where she attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) and earned a Bachelor’s in English Literature from the North Texas State University before moving to Kansas and then Oregon.
After moving to Oregon, she was hired by Tektronix to work in the mail room, was quickly promoted to secretary in the logic analyzer division and then later a customer service representative. Patti retired after 30 years with the company. She met her husband, Andy Huhn, at Tektronix and they were married February 16, 1973, in Portland. They lived in St. Helens for many years until they decided to leave the country lifestyle and move into
Scappoose after retirement.
Patti loved everything about nature, the trees, bird watching, and ALL animals, especially the 4 dogs and 12 cats she and Andy lovingly cared for over the years. Patti loved everybody. When the opportunity arose, she was known to ask strangers if she could give them a hug. Her day was not complete until she found a stranger to hug. She was an amazing wife, an excellent friend to her stepdaughter, and a great cook.
Patti is survived by her husband Andy Huhn, stepdaughter Jamie (Kevin) Taylor, her older brother Robert Palazzo, Jr. of Atlanta, her younger sister Christine (Sam) Gaddis also of Atlanta, and her younger brother Michael (Kitty) Palazzo of Cedar Mill.
Patti would love any donations, in her name if you wish, be given to any of her favorite charities: Union Gospel Mission; Portland Audubon; Oregon Humane Society.
