Patrick "Ricky" Gayken, Jr. 1967-2008.
Patrick "Ricky" Gayken, Jr. was born on September 19, 1967 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Linda Wiggins and Patrick Gayken, Sr. He died surrounded by his family at a Care Center in Portland on April 16, 2008 at the age of 40.
Ricky grew up in Woodburn, but spent most of his life in Portland. He was employed as a Stone Mason for The Wall. He was disabled for the past 10 years from the effects of Huntingtons Disease.
Going to rock concerts, listening to music, spending time with family, and eating good food were important things to Ricky. He also liked fishing; and lived for a short time in a St. Helens apartment where he could watch the water and fish off the nearby docks.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Linda Melton of Warren, father, Patrick Gayken, Sr. of Portland, daughter Alexis Bryant, sister, Tammy Belwood of Scappoose and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother, David, and niece, Taija Belwood.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens. Interment will be at Columbia Memorial Gardens in Scappoose.
