Pauline F. "Besson" Williams' Obituary
Pauline F. "Besson" Williams was born on October 26, 1919 in Asheville N. Carolina to Franklin & Helen Wilke Owen. She was the oldest of thirteen children.
She died at her home in Scappoose on February 20, 2007 at the age of 87.
She came to Portland, OR. from Asheville, N. Carolina in 1942 and lived in the Shefield Apartments on the corner of SW Broadway & Jefferson Streets, she later moved to the St. Johns area.
She lived in many places including Apache Junction & Yuma, Arizona, Seaside, St. Helens and finally Scappoose. She loved to be on the go.
Her life was her love of family. Until the end she kept up with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
Survived by: Daughters: Ruth Johnson Stuart of Scappoose, OR.; Barbara Stein of Gresham, OR.
Companion of 15 years: Marvin Tolva; Siblings: Mildred Cenci of New York; Fay Cox and Martha of Penka, N.C.; Tom Owen of N. Carolina; Ed & Nick Owen of CA.;
Grandchildren: Ronald, Stacy, Michael and Cindy Johnson; Jennifer Springer. Great grandchildren: Daniel, Alex, Julia and Sam Johnson; Gabrielle Springer. Preceded in death by a granddaughter: Theresa Ryan. She will also be missed by many others who's lives she touched including cousins, nieces & nephews.
Private family services in her honor at a later date.
