Our beloved mother and grandmother, Pauline V. Illias, passed away on March 9, 2014, at the age of 90.
Pauline was born on May 7, 1923, in Alamosa, Colorado to Paul and Alma Achatz. She graduated from Oregon City High School in 1941. In 1942, she married Joseph Illias and lived most of her life in Linnton.
Pauline was a wonderful homemaker and worked as a seamstress. She was a member of St. Birgitta Church and volunteered at the Linnton Community Center.
She loved baking, sewing, gardening, and supporting her sons in the Boy Scouts.
She is survived by sons Leonard and David; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Achatz and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline’s husband, parents, and sister Frances preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank Jennings McCall of Forest Grove for their superior care of our mother.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Scappoose.
