Pearl McAllister's Obituary
Pearl McAllister Quinn, Brown, Hard died of cancer on 12/18/2007 at Avamere in Bethany, OR. She was born to Joseph F. Quinn and Nancy Denny King Quinn on 4/4/1911 in Oregon City, OR. She is survived by 3 of her 15 siblings, Eva Quinn Garrett, Joseph F Quinn Jr. and Silva F Quinn Freemen. She was the oldest living sibling at the time of her death.
Pearl married three times. She married Kenneth Brown in 1927 in Idaho. Pearl and Kenneth had 5 children: Irvin Naomi, St. Helens; Evelyn Frank Mares, Vaughn Larsen, Scappoose; Alvin Connie, Moreno Valley, CA.; Elnora Rod Morilon, Mesa, AZ.; Liona Ambler, St. Helens. Pearl married Raymond Hard in Vancouver, WA in 1942 and Jack McAllister in Calif. in 1951. All three of her husbands predeceased her.
Pearl had 17 grandchildren, 2 of them predeceased her, 33 great grandchildren and 12 great, great grandchildren.
Pearl moved several times in her life living in Oregon, Idaho and California. She loved music, playing musical instruments and crocheting. Pearl enjoyed her pet dogs and birds and loved to watch birds out her window. She also collected knickknacks and dolls.
Services will be held at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens on Janury 7, 2008 at 11 AM. There will be a reception following. Burial will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland after the reception. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Cancer Society in Pearl's name.
