Philip W. Shattuck was born on June 4, 1951 in Hood River, OR. to Lois & Esther Hughes Shattuck.
He died at his home in Scappoose on May 2, 2005 at the age of 53.
He was raised in Hillsboro and Fresno, CA., living in Scappoose for 14 years. Graduated from OSU in engineering, Oregon master hunter program.
He married Daria on March 5, 1977 in Beaverton, OR.
He worked at Oregon Steel Mills for 15 years as a maintenance planner.
His hobbies included: Spending time with family, hunting, fishing, Texas hold'em poker game, camping, and was able to climb to the top of Mt. St. Helens last August something he always wanted to do He lived life to the fullest.
Survived by: Wife; Daria of Scappoose; children: Vanessa, Kyle, Nathan, Nicole Shattuck all of Scappoose, OR.; stepdaughter: Julie Cloer of Bellfountain, OR. 1st unborn grandchild: Riley Shattuck, 2 grandchildren: Jacob & Haley Cloer.
Mother: Esther Schmitt of Medford, OR.; Sisters: Shari Ouillette of Columbia City, OR., Kathy Satterlee of Medford, OR.; Jeri Slevin of Astoria, OR.; Kelly Schmitt of Hillsboro, OR.; preceded in death by father: Lois Shattuck & stepfather Carl Schmitt.
Celebration of Life: Sat. June 18, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Caples House in Columbia City, OR.
