Phillip Roddy, 78, of St Helens, Oregon passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017.
Philip is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane; his daughter, Samantha; son-in-law, Kevin; grandson, Lucas; sister, Diane; niece, Amy; and nephew, Robert.
Phil was a 20-year Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam War as a hospital corpsman. When he retired, he moved with his family to Charlotte, North Carolina. He and his wife left 35 years later to be closer to their daughter who lives in Portland, Oregon.
Phil was an active member of the St. Helens community. Most recently, he served as the treasurer for the St. Helens Lions Club and on the Parks Commission for the City of St. Helens.
A Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Columbia Funeral Home in St Helens.
Phil will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery later that day at 2:00 PM.
