Ramasurdyal "Prem" Premsingh's Obituary
Ramasurdyal ‘Prem’ Premsingh, 88, of Portland, Oregon, passed away Tuesday, March 12th.
Born January 16, 1936, in the East Berbice-Corentyne region of Guyana to the late Bacheu and Rookmin Singh, he was the eldest of 9 children.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Joyce, their children, Devi, David, Sue Ann, Steve, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 6 siblings and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.
Prem was preceded in death by his parents, his son Anil and brothers Baba Steel-Dhanraj Bacheu and Harripersaud Bacheu.
He worked as a building inspector for the city of St. Helens from which he retired.
Services are to be held at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens, Oregon on Wednesday March 20th. Viewing is scheduled for 10am, with services and memorial beginning at 11:30am. Burial will follow at 1:30pm at Columbia Memorial Gardens in Scappoose.
