Randy W. Holdner of Scappoose, Oregon passed away July 28, 2021 at the age of 61. Randy was born on November 5, 1959 in Portland, Oregon to William and Patricia (Irish) Holdner. In 1968 the family moved from Portland to Scappoose Read Obituary

My sincere condolences to Randy’s family. Although years and miles separated us, I was always fond of Randy, Laurie and his parents. We were blessed to be neighbors and friends for many years.

I first met Randy after his father Bill rented the Chapman place to my wife Linda and I in 1978. We worked many years together caring for all the cattle. At times Bill and Randy would disagree about different things but as the years went by, Randy gained more knowledge and confidence and would win some of those arguments! Randy worked harder than most people I knew but he also was ready to have fun and enjoyed his family.
He loved to set off fireworks and put on the occasional fireworks show at our place in Chapman for us and our nieces and nephew. Sometimes after working all day on a Saturday, we would pick Randy up and go to dinner at Sizzlers for all you could eat ribs or shrimp. They never asked us to leave but we sure did some damage to their inventory! Our hearts go out to Deb, Bill and Laurie and Leonard who will always miss him. Rest In Peace Randy - my friend always.
To Debbie, her children, and grandchildren, to Uncle Bill, Jane and Cousin Laurie, my family and I wish to express our deepest sympathy at the sudden passing of your dear husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. We have fond memories of Randy from our first trip to Portland in Christmas 1968 and our recent visit to Scappoose in August 2017. We have very precious memories of our day trip with Randy and Debbie to Astoria and Oregon coast where Randy bought fresh crab for dinner, and we walked the sand of the beautiful coastline. Our day ended with a wonderful dinner at Randy and Debbie’s home surrounded by their children, Uncle Bill, Jane, and Laurie. We greatly enjoyed the day and our entire trip, and it now holds a very special place in our memories. To Debbie, her children, and grandchildren, to Uncle Bill, Jane, and Laurie, on behalf of Linda and I and our sons Evan and Jason, their families, and my mother Lorraine Matshes, we offer our sincerest condolences. Randy will be greatly missed and may he rest in peace.

What a loss for Randy's family and all of our community. Each day we are here on earth is a gift. It is clear from the photos Randy lived that and family was everything.
I spent some time talking with Randy a few days ago. He was always very kind to me and a great guy. I will miss our talks while we wandered to find his cattle that would wander away from time to time.
