Reed Evan Bohn's Obituary
Beloved resident of Rose Valley Assisted Living Community, Reed Bohn passed away February 21st at the age of 80.
Mr. Bohn was born February 9, 1930 in Delta, Utah to Alvin & Frances Twitchell Bohn.
Raised and schooled there he graduated from Delta High. When he was about 17 he was a professional jockey hired to ride 3 horses for the West Coast Circuit. This later became a life long interest. A short time later he joined the US Army. First being discharged as a Private he later re-joined the Army and rose to the rank of Sergeant 1st Class. Later he became a Warrant Officer and retired after 22 years as a Chief Warrant Officer 2. After retirement from the Army, Reed became a Marketing Supervisor for Hudson Oil Company and then Astro Oil Company.
He married Jeanne L. Pace in Los Angeles, CA in 1950. They were married for over 50 years. She preceded him in death in 2000. Reed and Jeanne lived virtually all over the world because of Reed's expertise in logistics. Reed has lived in Scappoose for the last 5 years.
He is survived by his Children; Jeannette Fagan of Sauvie Island, Julianna Clark of Newport, OR, Reed E. Bohn II of Abbeville, LA, Brenda Pauley of Atlanta, GA and Alvin Bohn of Colorado, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sister, Isabelle Taylor of Tempe, AZ and sister-in-law, Isabelle Bohn of Corpus Christi, TX
A Celebration of his life, will be held at a later date.
