Richard A. Archibald's Obituary
Richard A. Archibald died Saturday, November 8, 2008 in Hillsboro, Oregon. He was 67 years old.
Richard was born July 11, 1941 to Kenneth A. and Ila Staton Archibald in Longview, Washington. He was brought home to Goble, Oregon where he spent most of his younger years.
He was a 1960 graduate from Rainier Union High School; then served in the Navy. He belonged to the St. Helens Volunteer Fire Department, and was a very active member of the Muster Team. He enjoyed being with family and friends, traveling to the coast, fishing at Prescott beach and spending time on the boat with his brother, Bob. He also liked to read and work crossword puzzles.
Richard is survived by his wife, Maryellen of Dalton, Massachusetts, daughter, Lynda and son-in-law, Eric Rench, grandson, Joshua, and granddaughters, Alicia & Khrystnee, all of Atoka, Tennessee; brothers, Robert and sister-in-law, Joan of St. Helens, and James and sister-in-law, Leslie of Fairview, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews and step children.
A private committal will be in the Neer City Cemetery next to his son, Larry E. and his parents whom all preceded him in death.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society in Richard's name.
