Richard Charles Kirtland's Obituary
Richard C. "Dick" Kirtland, Sr. was born on July 26, 1916 in Portland, Oregon to Chester & Doris Young Kirtland.
He died at his home in Portland, Oregon on October 8, 2011 at the age of 95.
Dick attended and graduated from Scappoose High School and lived in the area for over 80 years. He married Evalyn Ann Lange on May 18, 1940 in Scappoose, OR.
He worked for 34 years at Halton Tractor Co. as service manager, retiring in July 1981.
Member of the First Presbyterian Church in Portland, held many offices and received awards for the Masons, Scottish Rite, & Shrine.
Survivors include: 2 Sons: Richard C. Kirtland, Jr. of Portland; Fred Kirtland of Damascas, OR.; 3 Grandchildren: Scott, Craig & Danielle Kirtland; 5 Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by Sister: Marcella Anderson in 2010.
Funeral Service: Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens Private Crypt Entombment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Mausoleum-Scappoose, OR.
