Richard Dale Casterline's Obituary
A Celebration of Life service will be held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 5th at Columbia Funeral Home for Dick Casterline. Dick passed away on April 26th in Portland, he was 65 years old.
Richard Dale Casterline was born July 8, 1946 in St. Helens, Oregon to George Myron and Marie Rose Blaha Casterline the youngest of five children.
Dick attended St. Helens High School graduating early after his junior year in 1964.
He lived his entire life in the area except for 2 years when he lived in Stockton, California.
He served his country in the United States Army serving in Vietnam conflict from April 21, 1969 until October 25, 1971.
Dick worked as a logger, Boise Lumber Mill, and for Cascade General Ship Repair for 27 years retiring in May of 2004. He was a member of the St. Helens Elk Lodge for over 34 years. Dick enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, family get togethers and barbecuing.
Dick is survived by children; Mario Espinoza of Warren and Verneta Hargrove of Waldport, stepchildren; Diane Albert of Portland, Michael Clegg of Baja, California Debra Bradfield of Warren, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren including granddaughter Sara, Great grandchildren Taylor, Hannah and Emma, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He's preceded in death by his siblings; Don Casterline, Edith Jones, Joanne Whitman and Georgia Jones.
Inurnment and military honors will be held at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
