Kathy, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at the loss of Richard. We know it is a difficult time and our hearts ache for you.
Richard was a great boss to work for, very easy to respect because he respected others, never harsh and always trustworthy!
I not only had the privilege of working for Richard (Dick), but also volunteering alongside of him for many years in serving the community of Scappoose on fires and emergencies responses. He loved serving his community even donated countless hours of time from work for the people of the Scappoose Fire District, sacrificing his time to serve others. We appreciate you and are remembered.
With Sympathy,
Al & Sue Adams
Richard was a warm and loving person, a great classmate and most of all, an amazing husband to Kathleen and excellent father. God only takes the best. Cheryl Aker
Richard was my neighbor when we were kids. He was the "big" kid next door, he was kind, patient, and generous with his time to this pestering little girl. I adored his dog Sally. Richard was kind enough to let me hang out with his dog and even dognap her often. The world is a better place because Richard Hoffman graced this earth. He was be greatly missed.

My thoughts go out to the family. He was a great guy and a good friend. I used to go up the shop every year to get a donation for the local fireworks. He and Don used give me some money. I used work with him as a volunteer firefighter when they called in St.Helens Fire department. If the family needs anything please let me know.
