Richard J. Forcier's Obituary
Richard J. Forcier was born on June 16, 1932 to Joe & Anna Janson Forcier.
He died at his home in Scappoose on March 17, 2004 at the age of 71.
He moved to Scappoose in 1954 after serving in the Navy on the USS Valley Forge. He has lived here since.
He married Edith on June 23, 1956 in Scappoose, OR.
He was a grinding inspector for ESCO Steel Foundry in Portland for 48 years, retiring in '93.
Survived by Wife; Edith Forcier of Scappoose, OR.; Children: Kathy Newell of Columbia City, OR., Esther & Pat Forcier both of Scappoose, Richard Forcier of St. Helens, OR.; Siblings: Robert Forcier of Washington, DC, Bernice Kuhl of Scappoose, OR.; Betty Coblentz of Kent, WA.; Marion Vandecoevring of Corvallis, OR.; 7 grandchildren; 3 stepgrandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son: Carl; sister: Agnes Brown, 3 brothers: Donald, Jimmy & Merrill Forcier.
Celebration of Life: Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Funeral Home-St. Helens.
