Richard T. Arthun's Obituary
Richard T. Arthun was born on October 24, 1922 in Bremerton, Washington to Clarence & Sadie Hogg Arthun.
He died at a Portland hospital on November 8, 2011 at the age of 89.
Richard attended school and graduated from Bremerton High School in 1940 went on to one year of college. He was in the Navy and the Coast Guard during WWII.
He married Jenny C. Sundvall in Bremerton, WA. in 1975, she preceded him in death in 2001.
Richard lived in the Bremerton/Tacoma area for most of his life, moving to St. Helens 4 years ago. He owned & operated the New Era Laundry and Dry Cleaners there for 42 years.
He was a Christian, a member of the Elks in Bremerton, also enjoyed fishing, camping and hiking.
Memorial service to be held at a later date in Bremerton, WA.
Survivors include: Son: Rick Arthun of St. Helens; 2 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren.
