Richard "Richie" Lyle Broderick II
December 4, 1980 ~ June 27, 2008
Richie, a long time Scappoose resident, was a passenger in a fatal car accident that took hid life, at the young age of 27, in Ridgefield, Washington. Richie currently lived in Vancouver and worked as a Floor Installer. He was caring, energetic, and hard working. He had a great big heart, and was very kind. He was deeply loved by his 7-year-old daughter, Annabelle, and his family.
Richie enjoyed woodworking, motorcycle riding, relaxing, and spending time with his friends and family.
His daughter, Annabelle, survives him. Parents: Gary and Ginger Johnson of Scappoose, and Richard and Jan Broderick of St. Helens. His siblings: Heather M. Johnson, Robyn DuBois, and Gary Johnson. His brother-in-law: Joe Dubois, and sister-in-law Lindsey Johnson. His two nieces: Taylor Johnson and Lyla DuBois, also two nephews: Logan Johnson and Joe Joe Dubois, as well as, his grandparents Robert and Wanda Broderick of St. Helens.
His long time girlfriend, Emily Dewey was also killed in the car accident with him.
A funeral service will be held at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2008 there will also be a Celebration of Life held at The Caples House Museum, in Columbia City at 2:30 PM on the same day.
