Ricky Duane Brown's Obituary
Ricky Duane Brown was born July 17, 1962 in Lubbock, Texas and passed away August 3rd, 2019 in Portland, Oregon. He was 57 years old.
All though he only attended school till his 9th grade year, he was a successful owner of his own floor and remodeling company.
Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, he lived there till 1982 when he met his wife Kelly Jo and moved to Austin, Texas. There they had their two daughters, Kristi in 1986 and Amanda in 1988. In 1989 he moved his family to Portland, Oregon. Finally in 1996, he moved his family to Deer Island, Oregon. Where he raised his girls and built his and Kelly's dream property.
Ricky's hobbies included fishing, hunting, moonshining, race car driving and coin collecting. He loved blues music, western movies and television shows, throwing a softball with his girls, playing with his grandchildren, and gardening with his wife. With many family vacations and work travels throughout the years, he had traveled all over the United States. With his favorite being Hawaii, for Kelly and his 25th wedding anniversary.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kelly Jo Brown. Daughter, Kristi Brown and fiancee Rosco Covington. Daughter, Amanda Hunsinger and fiancee James Birkland. Grandchildren, Ricky Everett, Austyn Jo, and Kalley Marie. In-laws, Marilyn Jo Fairman, and Ernie and Donna Fairman. Siblings, David Carr, Bobby Brown, Barbara Brown, and Ira Brown. With many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Childhood best friend, Timmy Davis and close friends, Bob Nelson and Gaylen and Laura Dunn. He was preceded in death by his mother Christine Marion Brown, step father Theodore Goddard, and father Robert Earl Brown.
