Robert “Bob” Eugene Baker

Bob Baker of Warren, Oregon died September 27, 2016 at the age of 88 in Vancouver, Washington.
Bob was born August 20, 1928 to Homer and Mildred (Baker) Ring in Battle Creek, Michigan. In the mid 40’s the Bakers moved west from Indiana where they settled in the Scappoose area.
On July 8, 1950 Bob married Barbara Klum at the Congregational Church, they were married for 49 years until her death on March 31, 1999.
Most of his years Bob worked as a driver for Farny Truck Line he later joined a partnership purchasing LC Hall Truck Line where he worked until his retirement. Bob was a founding member of the St. Helens Elks Lodge and also enjoyed buggy horses, farming, tractors and antique cars.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Connie and Sam Salzman, his son and daughter-in-law Robin and Kathy Baker, 4 grandchildren Corbi, Lyia, Shane and Travis, and his sister Priscilla (Mullins) Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Baker and his two brothers James and Richard Baker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
