Bob, it was an honor to get to know you these past few months. I looked forward to your smiling face every morning. It just always started my day off right. Your family was some of the greatest people I have met and they loved you dearly. I got word yesterday, that "Bob" Robert died last weekend. The first thing I thought of was when we were in the 7th grade together, an English assignment was to write a poem. It was my first, and the only poem I have ever written. And for some reason, it was also the only one I can remember. It was about Robert and it went like this:
"Robert, Robert where can you be?
Are you aiming a 22 at me?
or stealing honey from an little old bee?
Robert, Robert where can you be?
His desk is nice,
but only for mice,
Robert, Robert where can you be?"
Now, I know where Robert is... in a way better place than where I was looking for him in the 7th grade. I will miss you Bob!##imported-begin##Ed Trtek##imported-end##
Bob was a great guy. We Bob, Erik, Beth, and I spent 1 month working in Folsom in 1997. Bob, Erik and I went to a Giants game in SF, one evening, that was quite the adventure :.
Have worked with Bob off and on since. In fact he was supposed to work with me on a project, but was too sick to come to work.
A lot of us got to say goodbye at his retirement party 1 month ago.
Will miss you Bob!

I could never speak of or with Bob without seeing memories of our childhood. Bob crawling all over the tree that fell on our house during the Columbus Day Storm as he and his dad were cutting to remove the tree.
And...how Bob was the best clarinet player, first chair! Lockcoven sp? use to tell us to make sure and watch Bob play, and we did! He was the best; he could feel music in his soul!

Bob and I played music together for many many years and best friends for more than that. You could not ask for a better musician or a best friend than Bob. He will be forever missed.
