Robert "Bob" Duschka's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Duschka passed away on October 16, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 71.
Bob was born in Ogallala, Nebraska on August 13, 1947 to Robert and Marie Duschka. Throughout most of his childhood he lived in Idaho. Bob graduated from Tigard High School, and then continued his education at Mt. Hood Community College receiving his Associates Degree. Bob joined the Army in 1967. He served in Vietnam in 1967-68, and was honorably discharged in 1973. He worked as a mechanic for Don Rasmussen Mercedes Benz, and was the owner and operator of B & B Market in Scappoose, Oregon. Bob moved from Tigard to 10 acres in the Scappoose area 40 years ago.
He valued his family and time spent with them more than anything. He enjoyed outdoor life, maintaining his beautiful property, hunting and playing golf. He was proud of his service in the Vietnam war, and was also a member of the St. Helen’s Elks Lodge, as well as the V.F.W.
Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Anne Duschka, his sons Troy Edward (Jeanette) Duschka, Todd Allen Duschka, three grandchildren: Kaylee Lowry, Logan Duschka, Jack Duschka, his great grandson, Presten Lowry, his brother and sister-in-law Alan and Eve Klockman, and niece Jessica Klockman. Bob was blessed throughout his life by many close cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Marie Duschka.
There will be a memorial service at the St. Helen’s Elks Lodge on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:30am. A reception will follow.
