Robert Gerald Eidem's Obituary
Robert Gerald Eidem was born on March 6, 1927 in Vermillion, S. Dakota to Samuel & Verabelle Richardson Eidem.
He died at his home in Columbia City on December 3, 2008 at the age of 81.
Robert grew up on a farm in S. Dakota, moving from there to St. Helens in 1956. Living the past 28 years in Columbia City, Oregon.
He was educated in Elk Point, S. Dakota and later to building inspection school. He was a roofer, carpenter and his last occupation was the building inspector for Columbia Co., retiring in 1990.
Robert married Florence Kjose on October 6, 1979 at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa.
He was a member and a deacon of Warren Baptist Church. He helped build the addition to the church and refinished the communion table.
Robert enjoyed woodworking and his coffee.
Survivors include: Wife: Florence Eidem of Columbia City, OR.; 1st Wife: Maxine Goodall; of Lodge Grass, MT.; Children & spouses: Mary Sue Redfield Bill; Dana Bartlett Keith all of Lodge Grass, MT.; Daniel Eidem Renee of Homer, Alaska; Robin Eidem Marion of Columbia City, OR.; Todd Eidem of St. Helens; Dallas Eidem Judy of Hardin, MT.; Byron Eidem Debbie of St. Helens, OR.; Sister: Darlene Mikkelson of Elk Point, S. Dakota; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.
Celebration of Life: Monday, December 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Warren Baptist Church.
