Rodney Lynn Anundi's Obituary
Private graveside services will be held for Rodney Lynn Anundi, better known as Capt. Rod, passed away in St. Helens on September 15th. He was 59 years of age.
Rod was born June 17, 1953 in St Helens. Raised and schooled here, he lived in St. Helens until his early 20's when he then moved and lived up and down the Willamette Valley. He spent many years making and installing installing the neon art pieces and well as neon signs. One of his many achievements was producing and installing neon at the Gateway Mall when it was first opened in Springfield Or. After buying a home in Sweet Home, OR he decided to change his career and became a lead laborer at Willamette Valley Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon where he managed a group of disabled men and women. In 2009 Rod returned to St. Helens and has worked at Calaway Trading.
Rod loved the outdoors and nature. It made him feel at peace. Everyone in the family was known to have been taken out fishing with Rod. He will be truly missed.
Rod is survived by his mother; Opal Anundi of St. Helens, Son; Nicholas Barger-Anundi of Longview, Washington, daughter; Brittany Anundi of Lebanon, step-daughter; Wendy Rodger of Albany,
3 grandchildren; Gabriella DeLong, Zachaey Rodgers, Britain Barger , Sister; Ronda Grau of St. Helens.
Private burial will be held at Murray Hill Cemetery.
