Roger Allen Weiss' Obituary
Roger Allen Weiss was born on October 28, 1951 in Longview, Washington to John S. and Helen M. Weiss.
He passed away of cancer with his family by his side at his home in Hillsboro, Oregon, June 6, 2012 at the age of 60.
Roger graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School. After high school he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War onboard the U.S.S. Ranger CV 61. During his service he attained the rank of Lithographers Mate 3rd Class E-4 and was awarded the National Defense Service medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
He married Christine Dembinski in Phoenix, Arizona on February 21, 1987. They were married for 25 years and raised 3 children.
Roger was a mobile home installer in AZ in the 80's but worked primarily as a Journeyman Offset Pressman at Stevens-Ness Law Publishing Co., Brewers Printing, Bridgetown Printing, Paramount Graphics, Rose City Printing & Packaging, and most recently at Lithtex Printing Solutions.
His special interests included fishing, hunting, camping, skiing and flying airplanes.
Survivors include: Wife Christine A. Weiss; Children: Jennifer, Julia, and Joseph; Grandson, Christian; Brothers: Doug Weiss, Kevin Weiss both of Portland; and Sisters: Nancy Irwin, Renee White both of Tigard.
Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery-Portland, Oregon Monday, June 25, 2012 at 3:00 PM
The family requests donations be made to either The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer's Association.
