Obituary of Ronald "Ron" Rodney Wise
A funeral service will be held, 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 29th at Columbia Funeral Home. Ron passed away December 22nd. He was 67 years old.
Ron was born August 2, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to Bruce W. and Beatrice Ila Waters Wise, the youngest of three children. Ron lived in St. Helens his entire life. He married Sheryl Eva Phelps, February 1st, 1964 in St. Helens. Ron worked for Crown Zellerbach for six years before working for Weyerhaeuser for the next 35 years. He was a long time member of the AWPPW. Ron retired in 2002 due to Multiple Sclerosis. Ron was a member of AA for over 18 years and a member of the Rainier Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, smoking fish, making jerky, target shooting and just about anything to do with nature.
Ron is survived by his wife; Sheryl, daughter; Michelle & Morgan Pyzer of St. Helens, father Bruce Wise of Yakima, WA siblings; Bruce D. & Rene Wise of La Grande, OR, Kay & Jay Trumbo of La Grande, OR and Darrell & Cindy Wise of Corvallis, MT, also survived by very close cousin JoAnn & Brian Fallon of Redfield, SD.
