Ronald I. Steinke was born on September 21, 1943 in Tigerton, Wisconsin to Irvin & Louella Vollmer Steinke.He died on September 8, 2005 in a Portland hospital at the age of 61.He attended schools and graduated from Hi school in Wisconsin in 1961.After serving in Vietnam he moved to St. Helens on December 31, 1964 and he has lived here since.On February 14, 1965 he married Betty in the Warren Baptist Church.He has been in the construction business for 40 years as Ron Steinke Contruction Co.He was very active in Warren Community Fellowship Church in the mens group as well as helping to build.Member of Kiwanis early on and the National & Oregon Home Builders Associations.His most special interests were his grandkids and children, hunting and fishing.Survivors include: Wife: Betty Steinke of St. Helens; Children: Cyndi Peterson of Scappoose; Julie Frank of Mollalla, OR.; Jason Ronald Steinke of Sutherlin, OR.; Siblings: Gerald Steinke of High Land Falls, N.Y.; Marilyn Madison of Seymour, WI.; Laurie Miller of Marion, WI.; Roger Steinke of Appleton, WI.; Alan Steinke of Wittenburg, WI.; Judy Cassler of New Lennox, Ill.; 12 grandchildren.Viewing & Visitation: 9-8 Tuesday at Columbia Funeral HomeFuneral Service: Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Warren Community Fellowship Church.Committal Service & Vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens.Memorial contributions may be made to Doernbecker Childrens Hospital.Columbia Funeral Home-Directors
