Ronald Theodore Rempfer's Obituary
Ronald Theodore RempferRonald Theodore Rempfer passed away on Feb. 1, 2011.
Ron was born in Alberta, Canada, to Ted and Lydia Rempfer on Sept. 5, 1937. They moved to St. Helens when he was 7.
He was a graduate of the John Gumm Grade School and St. Helens High School in 1995. He completed three years at the University of Oregon.
Ron married a local girl, Edythe Rash, in 1959. He worked for Dun and Bradstreet for 38 years before retirement in 1997. Ron was transferred around the country several times before settling in California in 1975.
He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey and Robert both of Portland; daughter, Nicole Watkins of Rainier; five grandchildren; brother, Randy of St. Helens; and sister, Carolyn of Scappoose.
His daughter Lindy, who died from lung cancer in 2006, preceded him in death.
An internment will be on May 1, at 2 p.m. at Columbia Memorial Gardens, on Highway 30. There will be a celebration of life following the internment at Randy and Laurie Rempfer's home, 2654 Columbia Blvd.
Friends and relatives are invited. Daughter, Lindy, will be interred next to her father at the same time.
