Ronald W. Housley's Obituary
Ronald W. Housley was born on December 20, 1918 in Bartley Nebraska to James W. & Mary A. Cozad Housley.
He died at a Portland hospital on May 6, 2004 at the age of 85.
He received his education in Nebraska. He was in the Army from 41-43. Lived in Colorado before moving to St. Helens in '44, moving to Columbia City and then to Goble area in '69 until present.
He was a millworker for Crown Zellerbach for 30 years, ret. in 1980.
Early on he was a member of the Moose Lodge, he enjoyed playing pool, playing his harmonica, sports, stock car races, country & western music, always had a joke to tell, early on he deer hunted.
He attended functions at the Scappoose, St. Helens and Rainier Senior centers. Attended Columbia City Foursquare Church.
Survived by: Children: Rosella Thompson, Mary Reeves, Debbie Matthews all of Rainier; Ronald Housley of Astoria; David Housley of Clatskanie; Siblngs Dale Housley of St. Helens; Clifford Housley of Hillsboro; Daniel Housley of Commerce City, CO.; Eva Ginther of Brighton, CO.; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death: Herb & Alfred Housley.

Funeral Service: Tuesday 5/11/04 at 10:00 AM at Columbia Funeral Home
Committal service & vault interment: Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery-Scappoose, OR.
