Rose Maxine Pryor's Obituary
Rose Pryor of Scappoose, Oregon died peacefully in the care of her family on December 24, 2018 at the age of 93.
Rose was born in Gregory, South Dakota on August 16, 1925 to Catherine and Robert (Bob) Bethke.
Beginning her education in a one room school house, Rose at the age of 16, joined the workforce in 1941. She married Gene Pryor in 1949 and produced three children, John, Larry and Darla. Rose continued her education as a Veterinary Assistant and settled in Scappoose, Oregon in 1976, where she was a member of a local Baptist church and worked in various jobs in her community including her 8 years of service at the Scappoose senior center.
Rose is survived by her sister Mary Snow of Portland, Oregon, her children Larry Pryor of Vancouver Washington, Darla Harrington of Bellevue Washington, and her doggy Yoda. She is the proud grandmother of four adult grandchildren and her first great grandchild. She had a passion for gardening, horses and especially dogs, providing a good home to 30 dogs throughout her lifetime.
