February 21, 1925 - January 24, 2016
Rose Wheeler of St. Helens, Oregon passed away in Hillsboro, Oregon on January 24, 2016 at the age of 90. Rose O Beoletto was born February 21, 1925 in St. Helens, to James and Clara (Monge) Beoletto. She grew up and attended school in St. Helens, she graduated from St Helens High School at what was then called Condon High School.
On November 21, 1944 she married James Wheeler. They were married 44 years until his death in January of 1988.
Rose worked as the secretary for the Columbia Port Commission for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Frederic Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Sweet Adeline’s Four Part Harmony Singing Group and the River City Singers, she enjoyed singing and dancing.
Rose is survived by her daughter Marianne Wheeler of St. Helens. She was preceded in death by her husband James and her son Henry John Wheeler.
A special thanks to her nephew Doug Wilcox and his wife Juanita for opening their home and taking care of Mom during her last days.
The funeral for Rose Wheeler will be on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Frederic Catholic Church in St. Helens. The address is 175 S. 13th St, St. Helens, OR 97051. Rosary will be at 10:30 am followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM with a short time at the cemetery.
Then we will be gathering at the Kozy Korner, 371 Columbia Blvd also in St. Helens starting at 3:00 pm. Light appetizers will be served and a no-host menu is available.
There will be a viewing of the body on Friday February 5, 2016 from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm at the Columbia Funeral Home, 681 Columbia Blvd, St. Helens OR.
