Roy D. Brien's Obituary
Roy D. Brien was born on June 2, 1940 in Belcourt, N. Dakota to Albert & Josephine St. Arnaud Brien.
He died at a St. Helens Care Center on September 11, 2004 at the age of 64.
He was educated at Fort Totten Indian School in N. Dakota. He spent 4 years in the Navy aboard the USS Epperson DDE-719. He worked in the gold mines until 1965 when he moved to Oregon and worked at Scappoose Pole & Piling until it closed.
He then went to work at Georgia Pacific, Wauna until he retired in 2002.
He loved children and in his young days he played baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed hunting & fishing. He was a member of the Rainier Eagles and the St. Helens Moose Lodge.
Survivors include: Ex-Wife: Joy Brien of St. Helens; Sister-in-law: Donna Brien of Deadwood, S. Dakota; Brothers & Sister-in-laws: Charles & Laura Brien of Rainier, OR.; Jim & Annette Brien of St. Helens, numerous nieces & nephews, special friend: Jimmy Housley.
Graveside service & interment: Friday, September 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Columbia Memorial Gardens
