Ruby Marie Meisner's Obituary
Funeral Service for Ruby will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Columbia Funeral Home. Ruby passed away December 27th at St. Helens. She was 80. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-5. Committal and vault interment at Columbia Memorial Gardens.
She was born January 26, 1929 in Hayti, Missouri to Charles and Girlie Broyles Stallings. The family moved to the Scappoose area when she was 10 years old. Attended Scappoose High School. She married George November 2, 1963 in Vancouver, WA. They owned and operated Ruby's Friendly Antique Shop from 1971-2001.
A life member of the Assembly of God Church she and her mother were charter members of the Morning Star Worship Center. She was an avid reader, writer of poems and lover of the Oregon Lighthouses.
She is survived by; husband George of 46 years. Children; Robert William of Carson, WA, Aletha Peters of Phoenix, AZ, Therese Meisner of Kingman, AZ and Dwight Meisner of Troutdale, OR, Brothers; Eugene Stallings of West Linn, OR and Burley Stallings of Seattle, WA. Granddaughter, Tensecia Pyle and 15 other grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
