Samuel Lee Brittain July 15, 1971 ~ August 2, 2017
Samuel Lee Brittain of St. Helens, Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2017, at the age of 46.
Sam was born to his parents, Robert & Kathryn Brittain, on July 15, 1971 in Memphis,
Tennessee. Sam grew up with his brother, Wade Brittain and sister, Sally Guyon and attended Scappoose High School. In 1997, he married his soul mate, Tricia.
Sam spent most of his life working in the carpet business, while finding time to build race cars that won six championships at St. Helens River City Speedway; two of those were won with his wife, Tricia as the driver. Sam also ran a successful sign and t-shirt company; where using his creative talents designed graphics and logos for many companies, including designing graphics for multiple race cars. He was President of Rivercity Speedway for 4 years, working alongside Tricia.
Sam is known for his strong work ethic, caring and compassionate ways, and how he continuously gave to other selflessly.
Sam was a husband, a father, a son, a grandfather, a best friend, and a true gentleman.
Sam is survived by his wife, Tricia Brittain; his son, Zackery Brittain; his daughter, Natasha Rye; his four grandchildren Bridgett, Kolten, Sandra and the newest member has not arrived yet; and his parents, Robert & Kathryn Brittain.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Elks on August 9, 2017 at 3:00pm. Sam’s final resting place is at Columbia Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
