Sandy L. Lee's Obituary
Sandra Lee passed away at home in Scappoose, Oregon, on March 1, 2019.
Sandy was born on May 23, 1944 to Esther and John Wehage, in Portland, Oregon. Younger sister to Thomas and older sister to Mike. Sandy spent her childhood growing up in the St. Johns area. She attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School.
Sandy married Jack Howard Lee in October of 1962 and got to enjoy almost 57 years together. Jack and Sandy had two children, Jack Curtis Lee born in 1963, and Jodie Renee Altig, born in 1966. She worked for US bank until the birth of her son. After Jodie reached her teens, Sandy worked for Emanuel Hospital billing department for 30 years until retirement. She loved her job at the hospital and made many lifelong friends.
After living in St. Johns for thirty-three years, Jack and Sandy relocated to Scappoose in 1995, and have called it home since. Sandy loved to work outside on their home and spend time at their “beach house” in Rockaway with family and friends. She treasured walks on the beach with Amy, her dog, and clam chowder from the local fish house.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Jack; son, Jackie; daughter, Jodie (Creston); brothers, Ron, Tom, and Mike, sisters-in-law Louise and Jeannie; grandsons, Brandon, Kaiden, Brock, Kemo and Josiah and many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
She is preceded in death by her father, John; mother, Esther; and sister-in-law Penny.
She will be missed by so many.
