Sarah Jane West's Obituary
Sarah Jane West was born on December 14, 1912 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ephriam & Laura Weight Twitchell.
She died at her home in Tualatin, Oregon on September 14, 2010 at the age of 97.
Sarah was educated through the ninth grade and was married in California at the age of 16 to Frederick Eversole. They had six children.
In 1943 the family moved to Scappoose from Los Angeles, CA. Shortly thereafter Sarah and Frederick were divorced.
Sarah soon after fell in love with Wesley West known to his friends as 'Edgy'. They were married in 1948 and had one son. Sarah was a busy homemaker raising their seven children. She was a member of the LDS Church and early on a member of the VFW, volunteering at the V.A. hospital and writing letters.
Survivors include: 5 children: Raymond F. Eversole of McMinnville; Georgianne Eversole of Wilsonville, Martin Eversole of Portland; Deana F. Marshall of Tualatin; Wesley W. West of Redding, CA.; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Viewing & Visitation: 1-5 at Columbia Funeral Home
Graveside service & interment: 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery-Scappoose, Oregon both on Monday, September 20, 2010.
