Sarah Elizabeth Zuber's Obituary
Sarah Elizabeth Zuber ascended into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Born in Portland, Oregon on February 1, 2001, Sarah’s supernatural gift of intelligence and insight became apparent almost immediately. As a homeschooler, Sarah’s childhood days were filled with a plethora of activity and adventure. Actively involved in 4-H, youth events at Rainier Community Church of God, TORCH homeschool field trips, and spending countless hours running through the woods and countryside of Goble and Rainier, Sarah soaked in every experience. She was fearless. She loved the quiet of night and the calm of rain. She wrote and published a book at the tender age of 11. At 16, Sarah continued her studies with Liberty University Online Academy, and at 18 received her High School Diploma and two-year associate degree. Sarah attended several Saturday Academy Classes through Portland based colleges, where she discovered computer graphics and art, and later developed a strong draw toward Neuroscience. Sarah was driven. She was a writer, an artist, a friend. Sarah loved her cats and she loved to debate. Sarah’s exemplary test scores and GPA earned her a scholarship and admission to the University of Portland, where she had already registered and made dorm room choices. Sarah enjoyed earning and saving money. She worked for the Grocery Outlet and adored the people she worked with. Grounded in her faith in God the Creator and Jesus the Savior, Sarah enjoyed deep theological discussions, and felt strongly that every person should be allowed to voice their own opinions and thoughts. And she respected them. Sarah had a deep understanding of life, people and creation.
Sarah is survived by her father and mother, Randy and Rebecca Zuber, by her big brother, Benjamin Stahly, by her sisters Kaitlyn and Abigail, and by countless others including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends and church family, all of whom helped to raise up an amazing young woman.
Please come celebrate Sarah’s life on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 12pm at the Columbia Theater in St. Helens, Oregon, where you will be received with warm hugs and lots of good comfort foods.
Sarah’s body will be laid to rest at the Neer City Cemetery, part of her original stomping grounds.
