Shirley Ann Warren's Obituary
Shirley Ann Warren Carnes was born July 24, 1932 in Nehalem, Oregon and died July 10, 2008 in Portland, Oregon.
She was born to Everette and Minerva Thompson Carnes.
She was raised in and attended school in Cathlamet, WA. She married Virgil Warren on September 20, 1947 in Puget Island, WA and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last September. She moved to St. Helens in 1961 and lived there since. She was a devoted member of the Columbia Christian Center Church where she was affectionately known as "Grandma Shirley". She was a homemaker and her family was the center of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Virgil; sons, Kenneth, Keith, Steve and daughter-in-law Vick Warren and her daughter Julie Warren all of St. Helens, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. And also a sister, Joy Jenkins and a brother, Roy Wirkkala both from Kelso, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters and a daughter, Barbara Jean Warren who died in 1967.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, 7/18/08 at 2:00 PM at the Columbia Christian Center, 235 South 15th Street, St. Helens, Oregon.
