Shirley Dickinson's Obituary
Shirley Sweet Dickinson
December 29, 1930 ~ October 20, 2008
Shirley Sweet Dickinson was born December 29, 1930 and left for the next stop on October 20, 2008 after a long fight with cancer. She was one of eleven living siblings of the Sweet family raised in Camas, Washington. She lived in Scappoose, Oregon for the last 27 years. She always lived life to the fullest. We believe her goal in life was to have fun. Self described as "ornery" she either liked or disliked with a passion. She loved doing things for her family and friends.
IT MADE HER FEEL GOOD!
If not for Shirley, her youngest sister could not have gone to college. Of her many friends there were two that she was very close to and loved dearly; Marisue and "Coffee" Shirley were always in her thoughts. When she lost her partner in life, Cleo, a small part of Shirley was gone, now they are together again.
Survivors include son Michael Pettet and his wife Terry Eccles-Pettet, granddaughters Danielle, Kristen, and Alyson Pettet. Brothers; Mahlon, Robert, and Allen Sweet. Sisters; Janet Paradis and husband Ben, Betty Sweet, Marge Brewer and husband Joe, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Shirley, you will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
A service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Columbia Funeral Home, 681 Columbia Blvd, St. Helens, Oregon
