Shirley Helen Eaton's Obituary
Shirley Helen (Cook) Eaton 92, was born in St.Helens Oregon on May 24,1931 to William and Sophia (Bertelsen) Cook and went to be with The Lord on November 22, 2023 in Scappoose, Oregon.
Shirley, one of nine children, graduated from St.Helens High School in 1949 and married Gary R. Eaton on June 23, 1950. Shirley was the ultimate homemaker and loved cooking, baking and gardening and caring for her four children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She and Gary loved working puzzles and spending time with friends and family at their cabin in Ocean Park, WA and digging razor clams. She was an active member of Plymouth Presbyterian Church for the majority of her life and loved sharing her gift of music singing in the choir.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Gary Eaton on September 1, 2020 and daughter Julie Eaton (Richard) Salisbury on December 16, 2021.
She is survived by her sons Richard G. (Evelyn) of St.Helens, Michael J. (Karen) of Sun City West Arizona and Terry L. (Diana) of Florence, Oregon.
Grand children Chris Eaton, Tyra (Ryan) Holm, Corinne Parke, Collin Salisbury and Michael Salisbury and her great grandchildren Kolby Holm and Kylie Holm.
The family is planning a celebration of life and private family graveside service to place her ashes in the coming summer months.
