Shirley Jean Sleightam's Obituary
Shirley Jean Sleightam was born on May 3, 1946 in Neosho, Missouri to Joseph & Imogene Harris Bright.
She died at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital in Clackamas, Oregon on October 17, 2012 at the age of 66.
Shirley arrived in Scappoose in 1962 and was a 1964 graduate of Scappoose High School.
In her working years she was a waitress and cook. She was a Christian who enjoyed gardening, reading, and loved to write letters.
Survivors include: 3 sons: David & Roger Sleightam of Scappoose, Robert Sleightam of Kalama, WA.; Siblings: John Bright of Marysville, CA.; Judy Walker of Portland; Mike Shellito of Pacific City, OR.; Ken & Richard Shellito of Rickreal, OR.; Jim Shellito of Beaverton; Teressa Shellito of Portland. 5 Granddaughters, 1 Great-Grandchild on the way.
Preceded in death by sister: JoAnn Bedwell, Brother-in-law Rodney Walker and friend John.
